64 - Port Washington Hammers Baltic 82-59 (2-1-64)

BALTIC - Port Washington's Purple Riders (4-11) gunned in 38 field goals Saturday night to hand Baltic (0-16) yet another loss, this time on the Eagles' court.  The hosts gave Port a real tussle for 16 minutes, trailing only 29-24 at intermission.  But, the Riders dumped in 23 points in the 3rd stanza to only 11 for Baltic to take a commanding 52-35 lead.  Leonard Cameron of Port Washington took game scoring honors racking up 20 points as four Riders hit for double figures.  Jim Bates added 19, Ken Gay 18 and Steve Bender potted in 14.  High for Baltic was Keith Miller who swished in 17 points.  Bob Werker meshed 15.  The Purple Riders of Coach Don Durham fired in 38 of 88 action shots and 6 of 13 charities  Stan Berkman's Eagles connected on 23 of 57 from the floor and 13 of 18 from the free throw lines.  In the Reserve game, Port Washington (5-7) out lasted the Baltic Reserves (2-12) 42-39.
