64 - Stone Creek Takes Out Warsaw 65-46 for 10th (2-1-64)




STONE CREEK - The Stone Creek Panthers (10-6) won their 10th game here Saturday night, whipping Warsaw.  The Panthers, guided by first-year boss Charles Huggins, led all the way except early when the visitors were on top 7-5.  Stone Creek flipped in 28 of 66 floor shots for 42 percent and made 9 of 15 charities.  Warsaw hit on 16 of 42 for 38 percent from the floor and swished in 14 of 22 foul attempts.  Verle Endlich was top board man for Stone Creek, hauling down 13 rebounds.  The Panthers combine grabbed 40.  Endlich also took game scoring honors, popping in 22 markers.  Teammate John Flinner got 11 and Jim Wherley added 10.  Stone Creek now has won more games than any season since 1958-59 when those Panthers were 13-9.  The Stone Creek Reserves (8-6) blasted the Warsaw Reserves 56-27.
