64 - Strasburg Slams Baltic 122-45 (12-6-63)

BALTIC - Six players hit 2 digits for the Bob Shahan-coached Tigers (1-0) (2-0).  John Peters led the way with 29.  Tom Dreher added 19, Don Wallick 18, Rock Van  Fossen and Ron Lab 14 and Vic Gessner 10.  Gus Regula paced the Stanley Berkman-coached Eagles (0-1) (0-4) with 15.  Ron Maurer added 10.  Strasburg is a slight favorite to win league honors this season.  The Tigers took a whooping 105 action shots at the hoops and canned 52 for 49 percent and made 18 of 33 charity throws.  Baltic knotted the score 8-8 in the 1st quarter and it wasn't until about 4 minutes were left in that frame that Strasburg began opening up.  "I just couldn't hold the boys down," Shahan said.  Strasburg, a 68-66 victor over Midvale in its opener a week ago, hosts Hiland tonight in what should be a thriller.  A year ago, the Hawks soared 72-67 over the Tigers.  The Strasburg Reserves (2-0) waylaid the Baltic Reserves (0-3) 47-35.
