BALTIC - Lack of height and not enough experience spelled defeat for Baltic High's Eagles (0-1) here Friday night as Adamsville (2-0) ruined their 1963-64 basketball inaugural.  The Eagles, under 1st year boss Stan Berkman, experienced a fine night shooting-wise as they hit on 45 percent of their action shots to only 32 percent for the visitors.  But Adamsville, a 77-61 victor over Deavertown in its opener, canned 80 percent from the foul line to 60 percent for Baltic.  On the boards it was mostly all Adamsville as it started a pair of 6-2 cagers and another 6-0.  The victors took a narrow 16-10 lead at the 1st stop and had to fight for a 34-24 advantage at intermission.  The 3rd period actually told the tale as Adamsville hit often to take a 59-38 spread into the final frame.  Scoring honors for the night went to Tom George of Adamsville who potted 22 points.  Teammate Ed Stalmaker chipped in with 15.  Sophomore Ron Maurer, just 5-9,  paced Baltic with 18 markers.  Classmate Jeff Schlarb, also 5-9, added 13.  Juniors Tim Richardson and Gus Regula both had 8 and Senior Tom Meitzler, Junior Keith Miller and Sophomore Bob Werker all had 6.  Tom Bellville led the Baltic Reserves (0-1) in a losing cause against the Adamsville Reserves 37-25.

NOTE:  The Gnadenhutten-Port Washington basketball game scheduled Friday night at Port Washington was postponed until Tuesday because of the death of President Kennedy.  In addition, the Killbuck-Midvale and Central Christian-Stone Creek games scheduled tonight also have been postponed.
