64 - Tusky Slams Gnaden 80-47 (12-20-63)

TUSCARAWAS - Four players reached double figures for the Dick Ronald-coached Broncos (1-1) (3-3). Phil Caldwell led the way with 20. Chuck Reichman had 13 and Roger Knisely and Richie Eckhardt 12 each. Larry Rentsch potted 12 for the Indians of Coach Oren Thompson. Tuscarawas led all the way, posting 16-8, 39-23 and 60-37 quarter margins. The Broncos canned 36 of 87 action shots for a good 41 percent and made 8 of 17 foul attempts. The Indians hit on 18 of 53 from the floor for 34 percent and meshed 11 of 21 free tosses. Rentsch topped Gnadenhutten in rebounds with 8. Caldwell hauled down 7 for Tuscarawas. "This was the best game we've played thus far," Ronald said. "Our zone press hurt them and caused 32 turnovers." The Broncos jumped to a 12-2 lead at the outset. Tuscarawas now has won 3 in a row to even its mark. The Tuscasrawas Reserves (6-0) remained unbeaten, while the Gnadenhutten Reserves (3-1) tasted their 1st defeat of the season 57-40.
