64 - Gnaden Defeats Winless Baltic 96-72 (1-17-64)

BALTIC - Gnadenhutten (2-4) (3-10) snapped its 9-game losing streak with the victory, tumbling Baltic (0-5) (0-11) to its 11th straight defeat.  The Indians, coached by Oren Thompson, got scoring from 12 players as they won their 3rd game.  Leading the way was Gene Bates who got 23.  Don Garrett added 11 and Bruce Kohl tossed in 10.  Baltic was paced by Keith Miller with 21 markers.  Ron  Maurer got 16 and Bob Werker 11.  The Indians canned 36 of 89 action shots for a hot 45 percent and were 20 for 35 at the charity stripes.  The Eagles were 28 of 76 for 37 percent and 24 of 41 respectively.  Kohl led the board work with 7 rebounds.  Baltic, although improving, couldn't solve the presssing defense used by Gnadenhutten and never led.  There was some consolation for the night's work though, because the Eagle Reserves (1-8) won 35-28 over the Gnadenhutten Reserves (5-4) for the 1st victory at the school this season.
