64 - Hornets Sting Eagles 77-57 (1-18-64)




BALTIC - Winless Baltic (0-12) dropped its 12th straight basketball contest here Saturday night to the invading Malvern Hornets on the hot shooting of Hal Bennett and Jim Montella.  Bennett and Montella caged 24 and 22 points respectively.  The Eagles closed the gap to 4 points at intermission only to experience a cold 2nd half that kept them in the doldrums.  C.L. Andrews again controlled the boards for the Hornets as he nestled in 14 rebounds.  Both teams connected on 14 of 21 foul tries in an unusual circumstance.  Malvern took the Reserve contest 38-31  The Eagles Seconds (1-9) took their 1st contest Friday night, beating Gnadenhutten.
