STONE CREEK - Bruce Kohl, an All-League choice a year ago, led the Indians (1-0) (2-1) with 20 points. Terry Huebner added 14 and Don Garrett 10. Jim Wherley led the Panthers (0-1) (3-2) with 18. John Flinner tossed in 14, Dick McPherson 11 and Verle Endlich 10. The Indians, coached by Oren Thompson, hit on 25 of 54 action shots for 46.3 percent. The Charles Huggins-coached Panthers canned 21 of 57 from the floor for 36 percent. Kohl led all rebounders with 14. Larry Rentsch helped out with 11. McPherson paced the Panthers on the boards with 12 rebounds. Stone Creek's McPherson and Wherley and Gnadenhutten's Don Garrett all fouled out. Gnadenhutten led all the way except for a brief time in the 3rd quarter when the hosts were on top 36-34. There was no report of a Reserve game.
