ZOARVILLE - A nifty press by the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans (8-8) befuddled Dover St. Joseph's here Saturday night and the Ramblers (6-8) fell 81-65.  Art Teynor's charges battled bravely, especially in the 1st frame.  But, they just couldn't cope with the slick-working Trojans.  Leading 16-15 with 23 seconds left in the initial frame, the Ramblers saw their advantage quickly disappear as the Trojans stole the ball several times off the press and took a 25-19 margin at the stop.  Continuing their thievery in the 2nd stanza, Ken Gold's men led 42-33 at the half and went into the final frame on top 55-47.  Then the roof really caved in on St. Joseph's as big Bill Held, 6-5 Senior center, went  to the bench with 4 minutes left because of personals and teammate Roger Lammers joined him with 2 minutes remaining.  Ramblers Mickey McCracken and Ron Rieger already were on the sidelines.  They both went out late in the 3rd canto.  Held and Lammers ended with 17 points each.  This is a season low for Held who entered the contest with 360 markers.  Held now is just 19 points away from a season record for a Rambler.  Tom Young poured in 396 points during the 1961-62 campaign.  McCracken's 15 points represents his season high.  Leading the way for the Trojans was Gary Ferren with 26 markers.  He had able support from Dave Widder 22.  Paul Shipbaugh popped in 13 and Ron Wolfe 12.  The Art Teynor-coached Ramblers zeroed in on the nets 22 times in 56 tries.  The Trojans got one less field goal in 67 attempts, but cashed in at the foul lines by making 39 of 50, while the Ramblers were sinking 20 of 27.  Held led all rebounders with 20.  Ferren pulled down 18.  The Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (6-8) out lasted the Dover St. Joseph's Reserves 36-33.
