64 - Strasburg Destroys Lake 60-51 (12-21-63)

HARTVILLE - It's good to win when you give one of your poorer exhibitions and that's exactly what the unbeaten Strasburg Tigers (7-0) did here Saturday night.  Coach Bob Shahan's club finished with a victory, but not before Lake High proved a troublesome nut to crack.  Leading 50-32 at the close of the 3rd period, the hosts strung 11 straight points at the start of the final canto to narrow the  gap substantially.  But the Tigers recovered in time to go home with their 7th straight victory.  John Peters and Don Wallick provided the big punch for Strasburg with 17 and 14 points, respectively.  Mike Gehring was high for Lake with 16.  Strasburg meshed 22 of 60 action shots for 21 percent, 2 less than Lake obtained on 21 of 63.  The Tigers had 16 of 23 at the foul line, Lake canning 9 of 15.  Rick Hall led Strasbug with 12 rebounds as the Tigers took a 35-26 margin in that department.  The Strasburg Tigers (6-1) racked up another win, this time, over the Lake Reserves 36-28.
