64 - Midvale Slams Baltic 103-55 (1-3-64)
MIDVALE - Dean DeMattio and his Midvale high teammates (4-0) (9-1) hardly worked up a sweat in recording their 9th victory. The county's most valuable player a year ago, Demattio, burned the nets for 31 points despite seeing only limited duty as Coach Pete Hilliard began substituting with 2 minutes left in the 1st frame. He now has 240 for the season, an average of 24 per outing. The Blue Devils canned 43 of 82 from the floor, a hot 48 percent and made 17 of 27 charities. The Eagles of Coach Stan Berkman (0-4) (0-9) hit on 25 of 62 for 40 percent and 5 of 15 respectively. Dale Ickes led the Blue Devils in rebounding with 9. Dan Kohler and DeMattio grabbed 8 each. The Midvale Reserves (4-3) creamed the Baltic Reserves (0-7) 56-22.
