60 - Baltic's Revenge 64-62 (1-27-60)

FRESNO - Baltic (10-7) measured the Fresno Indians here last night to avenge a 59-55 early season loss to the hosts. The Eagles held a narrow 14-12 lead at the end of the first period, but fell to the runner-up spot at halftime 35-31. They were back on top 47-46 at the end of the third period and held the lead most of the second half. With one minute to play Bob Ladrach came through by making two crucial foul shots and John Rice another, propelling the Eagles to the victory. They had gone into possession style game with 3 minutes to play. On the bench and relegated to "bookkeeping" duties was Gary Gerber, the Eagles second leading scorer and a member of the All-County team last season. He has a broken bone in his right leg and will be forced to forego the remainder of the season. It is possible that, with a cast, he may be able to see tournament action. Larry Lautenschleger set the pace for the Eagles with 19 points. Rice had 14 and Ladrach and Gary Mast 13 apiece. High for Fresno was Dave Mast with 28. Bob Hamlton hit 16 and Vernon Mizer 11. The Baltic Reserves (14-3) chalked up another win by dropping the Fresno Reserves 33-21.
