An attempted possession game by the Tuscarawas Broncos (4-4) (10-7) in an effort to "stall" Garaway (8-0) (17-1) turned out to be nothing more than just that - an "attempt." With everything to gain and not much to lose in the game the Broncos went into a control game from the beginning. But at the end of the first period they trailed 9-1 and had to forget about "their plan." Coach Jim Stull's well balanced unit, working on all 5 gears, had 4 of its starters in 2 figures. Tom Andreas led the attack with 14 points, while Koran Zehnder and Bob Raber each had 13 and Charles Stingel 12. High for the Broncos was Gary Caviness' 12 points. Tuscarawas closes out its regular season tonight at Navarre. The Broncos were without their ace rebounder Chip McCahill, who was sidelined with influenza. In the preliminary contest Tuscarawas' reserves (16-1) suffered their first loss in 30 games , losing to Garaway (12-5) 43-31. Pior to this season, the Bronco seconds had won 17 staight.
