SUGARCREEK - Garaway (1-1) picked up their first win of the season yesterday when it edged the Gnadenhutten Indians (0-1) (1-1). The Pirates scored 5 of their runs in the fourth inning and cut short a Gnaden rally in the 7th inning which resulted in 3 runs. Southpaw Dan Bleininger (1-0) went the distance for the winners, fanning 7, walking 5 and permitting 6 hits. Tom Andreas doubled for the Pirates and Bob Raber connected for 2 hits. John Hall doubled for the losers.
