This is hardly the time of the year for making hay, but that's exactly what Tuscarawas County cagers, particularly those in the Class "A" ranks, are doing. Paced by Midvale's Ron Breniser, who became the first cager to go over 300 points this season, county basketeers are keeping net makers in business with a torried scoring pace. Breniser, a member of last year's Daily Reporter All-County group, clicked for 56 points in 2 games last week to send his season total to 306, an average of 21.9 per game. He has improved his position each week in the point standings, beginning in fourth and finally arriving at the top spot this week. This weeks top group has scored a total of 2836 points. There are ties for eighth and ninth positions. Ron Clark of Gnadenhutten and Larry Lorenz of Stone Creek were the newcomers. Clark is tied for last and Lorenz, only a sophomore, is in the ninth spot.
