60 - Strasburg Rolls Over Stone Creek 25-4 (4-14-60)
STRASBURG - Strasburg (1-1) let loose with a 15-hit barrage yesterday to clobber the Stone Creek Panthers (0-1) in a county baseball league encounter. Jim Clymer (1-1), Bill Seese (0-0) and Don Grove (0-0) handcuffed the Panthers with only 3 hits. Clymer struck out 5. Seese whiffed 4 and walked 4 and Grove, who was touched for all Panther markers, fanned 3, issued 3 free passes and gave up 2 hits. The Tigers broke the game wide open in the second inning, scoring 12 runs on 9 hits. They added 8 runs in the third inning, 3 runs in the fifth and wound up with 2 runs in the sixth frame. Seese was the leading Tiger hitter, smacking 2 home runs. Paul Fishel doubled and Jim Clymer tripled. Bob Hamilton had a double for the Panthers. Strasburg hosts Garaway Monday and Tusky Valley is at Stone Creek.
