Since the consolidation of Bolivar and Mineral City 4 years ago the school has gained a reputation as one of the powers in Tuscarawas County athletics. Last year the Trojans lost only to champion Midvale in league play to gain runner-up honors. They bowed 65-43 to the Blue Devils in the tournament finals for the runner-up title again. This year the Trojan basketballers have been dealt one league defeat 77-68 by current leaders Garaway. Above is this year's edition which has posted a 14-4 overall record losing only to Garaway twice and Uhrichsville and Baltic once. Studer (5-11) is the third best scorer on the team with 216 points and has proved invaluable as a backcourt man for the Hellermen this year. Ickes (6-1) has been handling the pivot duties this season and has scored 130 points. Rounding out the small, but speedy Trojan crew, is Cerett. A Junior who transferred from Scio beginning with the current school term, he has totaled 137 points this season.
