DENNISON - Accomplishments at the foul line have played the lead role in more than one basketball game. Last night the Midvale Blue Devils (10-7) sank 17 of 23, while the Dennison Railroaders (6-9) could manage only 6 of 15. It resulted in a victory for the Devils. From the field the Railroaders outgoaled the visitors 23-21, but when it came to those always important free tosses they just didn't have it. Ron Breniser netted 21 points to pace the Blue Devils to their 10th triumph. Three other members scored in double figures with Roger Swinderman hitting 14 points, Neil Beans 11 and Warren Leggett 10. Melvin Peters and Dick Selzer led the home courters with 14 points each, while Jim Henry connected 10. Dennison held a 12-10 lead at the end of the first period, but Midvale came surging back and went into an 18-16 lead with 4:39 remaining in the second stanza and retained the pace. The Blue Devils increased their lead to 11 points at one point in the final quarter. Midvale (7-10) picked up the win in the Reserve game by edging Dennison 29-27.
