60 - Strasburg Become Tigers 83-26 (2-10-60)

STRASBURG - Perhaps there really are Tigers in Strasburg. The Strasburg Varsity (7-11) hasn't emitted many growls this season. But, a week ago and last night the noise seemed to get louder. The Bengals shook Brewster (0-16) with a trouncing in Tiger gym in their season finale. "It was the second straight performance in which we really played good ball," Coach Warren Binder said after the game. "It was a fine way to end our season and we were greatly improved. With the tournaments coming up, maybe this is a good sign." The Tigers rolled to a 21-8 first period lead and then limited the Railroaders to 2 points in the second period, 6 in the third and 10 in the final, while it took counts of 34 and 58 at those 2 stops. Frank Wallick enjoyed his best night of the season, scoring 28 points for Strasburg. Bill Seese tallied 18 and Don Grove 15. High for the losers was Gary Arthur with 5. Strasburg connected 36 times in 70 attempts from the field for 51 percent and the invaders made 10 of 43 for 23 percent. It was 11 of 20 from the foul line for the Tigers and 6 for 19 by the Railroaders. The Strasburg Reserves (7-10) found it a little tougher when they edged the Brewster Reserves 38-36.
