Strasburg Coach Warren Binder has seen his Strasbur Tigers (4-4) (6-11) go from one extreme to another this season. Last night they played top notch basketball when they defeatd Port Washington (1-6) (9-9). The Tigers made 26 of 76 from the field for a fine 48 percent mark. Their pressing defense permitted Port Washington 69 goal tries, but limited it to 10 good ones for a poor 15 percent. Strasburg also pulled down 76 rebounds in the fine show which Binder hopes will continue in future weeks. Four Tigers were in double figures with Bill Seese leading the way with 19. Frank Wallick and Dale Liggett scored 13 apiece and Jim Clymer had 10. High for the Purple Riders was Jim Bender with 10. Strasburg held leads of 12-7, 26-17 and 51-24 at the quarter stops as it closed league play with a 4-4 record. The Port Washington Reserves (8-10) froze the Strasburg Reserves (6-10) 48-33. Strasburg won the Junior High game by blasting Port (4-6) 66-11.
