Garaway (6-0) (12-1) had little trouble with Strasburg (3-3) (5-9), rolling to an 8-0 lead before the Tigers could score. As far as deciding the eventual victor that was it for Strasburg. Garaway led 14-7, 26-16 and 45-23 at the quarter stops. "I feel Strasburg has a much better team than it showed," Pirate Coach Jim Stull said following the contest. His charges turned on the fast break right from the beginning and it hurt the invaders. Koran Zehnder fired in 22 points to pace the victorious attack. Bob Raber added 12 and Charles Stingel had 10. Stingel was given the job of stopping Strasburg's high-scoring Frank Wallick. He did a good job, limiting him to 4 points. As a result not one Tiger hit in the double figures. Bill Seese was closest with 9 points. Garaway made 24 of 61 from the field for 39.3 percent and added 13 of 21 tries at the foul line. Strasburg made 11 of 22 from the charity line. In the Reserve game, the Garaway Pirates (9-4) had the Strasburg Tigers (6-8) walk the plank by winning 34-20.
