60 - Newcomerstown Saw A Win, But Didn't Get It 64-60 (2-1-60)


NEWCOMERSTOWN - Newcomerstown (0-13) was dealt it's 13th straight loss of the season here Saturday in a close one with the Tuscarawas Broncos (9-5). Tusky led 18-15 after the first period, but the fast-improving Trojans rallied to take a 35-33 margin at halftime. The Broncos regained the lead 53-52 at the end of the third period. George Whyde set the pace for the Trojans on 16 points. John Zeiner hit 14 and Skip Smith 10. Gary Caviness led the Broncos with 29 points and Phil Meese added 18. The unbeaten Tuscarawas Reserves (14-0) continued it's winning ways by downing the Newcomerstown Reserves 43-30.
