60 - Baltic Tops Gnaden 7-3 In 8 Innings (4-23-60)

BALTIC - Baltic (1-1) broke loose for 4 runs in the top of the 8th inning to snap a 3-3 deadlock and defeat the Gnadenhutten Indians (2-2) (3-2) in a county baseball league game yesterday. Singles by Dale Lautensleger and Dave Berger drove in the 4 markers in the extra frame. Lautenschleger also doubled. Other leading hitters for the Eagles wre John Rice (1-0) with a triple and single and Willis Mullet with a double and single. Rice hurled for Baltic, permitting 6 hits, while striking out 13 and walking 3. Dave Struchen (1-1) toiled for the Indians and fanned 3, walked 5 and was touched for 8 hits. John Hall had a perfect day at the plate for Gnadenhutten, counting a double and 3 singles in as many times at the plate.
