TUSCARAWAS - The top individual performance of the current campaign and the best offensive performance in the history of Tuscarawas High School was all the Broncos needed Saturday night to trample the Stone Creek Panthers (0-18). Gary Caviness, an All-County performer for the past 2 seasons, poured in 42 points to snap the school record of 41, set by himself in December against Newcomerstown. It was the highest output by any individual in the county this season. Tuscarawas (10-6) broke out in front 22-16 at the end of the first period and was never in trouble as it posted its 10th win. Duff Summers chipped in with 15 points for the victors, while Phil Meese hit 14. Merle Degen and Gale Sauser led the PLanthers with 24 and 20 points, respectively. Tuscarawas Reserves (16-0) showed no mercy against the Stone Creek Reserves (1-15) in a 70-16 blow-out.
