BOLIVAR - Tuscarawas Valley (5-1) romped to its fifth victory Saturday night when it defeated an Alumni team 47-29. The Old Timers defeated the Teachers 52-19 in a special preliminary match. The Alumni jumped off to a 15-11 lead at the end of the first period, but couldn't hold it. It scored only one point in the second stanza as the Trojan varsity poured in 18 for a lead it never relinquished. Clarence Cantrill led the victory with 13 points. Bruce Ickes and Ron Lake chipped in with 10 apiece. High for the Alumni was Eugene Argento, former Mineral City High star cager, with 10 markers. The Trojan varsity made 17 of 52 shots from the field for 33 percent. Alumni meshed 11 of 46 for 24 percent.
