BOLIVAR - Tuscarawas Valley (4-0) unleased a 16-hit attack, including 7 hits for extra bases to defeat the Port Washington Purple Riders (1-3) yesterday. Dean Nemetz paced the Trojans' extra base barrage, with a double and triple. Ed Lundenberger homered, John Bolvey and Al Cerett each tripled and Mike Widder and Ron Lake each doubled. Widder (2-0) was on the mound for the Trojans, striking out 1 and walking 2. He was yielded only 6 hits, all singles. John Landon (1-3) was charged with the defeat. He fanned 5 and walked 4. Tuscarawas Valley (5-0) also beat Stone Creek (0-6). This game was never reported.
