Koran Zehnder made the big noise for the once-beaten Garaway Pirates (7-0) (13-1) as the 5-11 Senior hit for 38 points in the easy win over Stone Creek(0-7) (0-16). Nine players scored for the combine of Coach Jim Stull which was the victor of the last 6 games sraight. Charles Stingel chimed in with 17 and Bob Raber hit 12. Gale Sauser led the losers of Coach Ernie Lukens with 17 points and Larrry Lorenz had 12. The Panthers are still looking for their initial win this season after 16 starts. The Pirates hit a pheomenal 43 field goals in 96 attempts from action for 44 percent, while Stone Creek had only 13 of 53 shots for 24 percent. Garaway had trouble with the host during the first period and led only 11-7 at the stop, but the front runners came back to lead 35-19 at intermission and were never in trouble after that. Garaway returns to action tonight, moving to West Lafayette. The Garaway Reserves (10-4) buried the Stone Creek Reserves (1-13) 56-12. The Stone Creek Junior High team raced to a 36-19 victory over the Garaway Junior High team to start off the night.
