60 - John Rice Tops All Scorers (1-12-60)

A new leader made his appearance today in the County Class "A" individual scoring race. John Rice of Baltic, who was this season's initial leader, was back on top, moving ahead of Garaway's Koran Zehnder, who led in the last conducted "top 10" group prior to the holiday vacation. Rice, third in that last accounting, has 232 points, 14 bettter than Zehnder. The Garaway flash still maintains the best per game shooter on the mark, averaging 21.8 points a game. Gary Caviness of Tuscarawas, who ranks sixth in this week's Class "A" group, has the second highest average, clicking the scoreboard to the tune of 20.2 points a game. Rice is also the top goal getter with 96. Leading in the free throw department is Gnadenhutten's John Hall with 54. Other interesting notes find that Baltic and Gnadenhutten are the only 2 teams represented by 2 players. Highest scoring combine is Gnadenhutten with 727, while Stone Creek has the poorest defensive mark permitting opposition forces to score a whooping total of 893.
