60 - Garaway Drops Port Washington 20-7 (4-26-60)

SUGARCREEK - Garaway (5-2) picked up its fifth victory in 6 starts yesterday when it defeated Port Washington (1-4). Charles Stingel led the Pirates with a Grand Slam Home Run. Bob Tidrick had a triple and double and Bob Raber a Home Run. Curt Johns singled and tripled for the Riders. Bob Raber (2-0) was credited with the win, despite permitting 11 hits. He struck out 1 and walked only 3. Losing pitcher John Landon (1-4), fanned 5, walked 4 and was touched for 15 hits. Earlier Tusky (4-0) dropped Garaway (5-1) in a game not reported.
