It's official now. Statistics complied by The Daily Reporter Sports Department show Tuscarawas' Gary Caviness as Tuscarawas County's leading point-maker during the 1959-1960 regular season. Caviness, in nailing down the Class "A" title, succeeds Ron Bradley of Gnadenhutten. The latter scored over 500 points. Caviness headed a group of 24 players from the county's 12 Class "A" schools who tallied over 200 points during the season. The Broncos ace was pushed to the limit by Garaway's Koran Zehnder, who was only 7 points off the leading pace. Ron Breniser of Midvale was third, John Rice of Baltic fourth. County champ Garaway was the leading Class "A" offensive and defensive unit in the county with 1266 points and 877 points respectively.
