APPLE CREEK - Strasburg Tigers (4-7) went down to defeat here last night when they fell to Waynedale. The Tigers were never ahead, falling behind 14-9, 28-21 and 49-32 at the quarter stops. They narrowed the gap to 5 points with less than 2 minutes to play, but couldn't go all the way. The Tigers meshed 19 of 49 from the field for 39 percent, while the hosts counted 44 percent when they made 27 of 62. Waynedale also had a near perfect night at the foul line, making 17 of 19. Strasburg connected on 15 of 21 tries. Frank Wallick led Strasburg with 23 points, while Bill Seese connected for 15. High for the losers was Bob Mann with 22 and Bill Vaughn with 21. The Waynedale Reserves were also winners by downing the Strasburg Reserves (5-6) 40-35.
