PORT WASHINGTON - After dropping 2 in a row, the port Washington Purple Riders (6-6) rebounded last night to take a verdict over the Malvern Green Hornets (4-4). Coach Dick King's quintet was led by Jim Bender in a 3-prong attack staged by the host club as he tallied 25 points. Larry Hagan followed with 15 and John Landon had 12. Gauze and Barrick led Malvern with 13 and 12 points, respectively. The Port Washington Reserves (5-7) buried the Malvern Reserves 31-16.
