ROSCOE - Baltic High School of Tuscarawas County could join the Coshocton County League and win the championship with ease. Last night the Eagles (9-6) came here and left with another victory. Other Coshocton County victims of the Eagles this season have been Fresno, Conesville, West LaFayette, Warsaw and Keene. Coach Jim Weinsz' team was never in serious trouble, posting quarter leads of 21-16, 40-29 and 55-29. A solid scoring punch in John Rice and Gary Gerber led the way to the triumph as each scored 18 points. Dick Grace led the losers with 22. Baltic connected on 18 of 69 from the field for 41 percent, while the hosts ended with 42 percent on 23 of 56. The Eagles had the edge under the boards, taking 22 defensive and 10 offensive rebounds, while the hosts grabbed 21 offensive 7 defensively. Bob Ladrach and Rice had 10 and 9, respectively, for Baltic. The Baltic Reserves (13-2) got in on a winning night by blasting the Roscoe Reserves 53-39.
