COSHOCTON - Garaway's Pirates (6-6) evened their 1962-63 basketball record here Saturday night, downing West Lafayette. Coach Joe Richards' charges were behind 12-9 at the 1st stop, but knotted the score 29-all at intermission and went in front 44-41 after 3 periods. Don Deetz led the win with 22 points. Geof Stevanus added 13 to the cause and John Spear 11. Bob Hoffman topped West Lafayette with 20 markers. Dick Bluck had 13. Garaway shot 42 percent from action. West Lafayette hit for 31 percent. The West Lafayette Reserves began the night by bumping off the Garaway Reserves (6-5) 41-36.
