63 - Tusky Valley Zaps Garaway 67-43 (2-8-63)
ZOARVILLE - Garaway (3-5 (8-11) put up a good fight for 2 quarters here last night, but Tuscarawas Valley (6-2) (11-6) spurted away in the third. Leading 14-12 at the 1st stop, Coach Bob Heller's Trojans took a 27-21 margin at intermission and waltzed into a 45-25 advantage after 3 periods. The Trojans hit on 25 of 52 action shots for just under 50 percent and made 17 of 29 foul attempts. Coach Joe Richards' Pirates canned 16 of 57 field goal tries for 28 percent and connected on 11 of 20 charities. Tuscarawas Valley are now winners of 7 straight games and ends regular season play tonight against host Tuslaw. Garaway also winds up its season tonight at Conotton Valley. In the Junior High leadoff game, Garaway blasted Tuscarawas Valley 43-14. The Reserve game followed with Garaway (12-6) beating out Tuscarawas Valley (2-13) again 38-26.
