63 - TV Knocks Off Tuslaw 52-49 (2-9-63)



ZOARVILLE - Tuscarawas Valley's sreaking Trojans (12-6) ended their season here Saturday night with their 8th straight victory, nipping Tuslaw.  Coach Bob Heller's combine never trailed, but had to take advantage of foul shots as the losers had just as many field goals, 18.  The Trojans hit on 18 of 55 action shots for 33 percent, but made 16 of 24 free tosses.  The losers canned 18 of 50 field goal tries for 36 percent, but made only 13 of 23 charities.  After the score was tied 7-all, Tusky Valley took a 14-9 margin at the 1st stop, was in front 25-19 at intermission and held onto a 37-29 cushion after 3 halts.  Tusky Valley maintained an 8-point spread most of the way.  The one-two punc of Dave Widder and Gary Ferren sparked the win, both gettig 20 points.  Benson was high for the Tuslaw team, with Riever following with 12.  The Tuslaw Reserves bounced the Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (2-14) 47-41.
