63 - Strasburg Finishes Season By Rolling Over Tuslaw 73-51 (2-15-63)

TUSLAW - Coach Warren Binder's "Terrific" Strasburg Tigers (14-4) ended their 1962-63 regular season on a triumphant note here last night, conquering Tuslaw.  Strasburg led all the way, posting 21-13, 41-21 and 59-35 quarter margins.  The hot-shooting Tigers canned 31 of 77 action shots for a good 40 percent and made 11 of 21 free tosses.  The losing hosts hit on 18 of 59 field goal tries for 31 percent and connected on 15 of 23 charities.  John Peters paced the well-oiled attack with 24 points, despite having a broken finger on his shooting hand.  He got ample help from Don Wallick with 16 and All-County Adrian Edie with 15.  Peters hit for 10 of his markers in the 2nd period.  Dub Benson led Tuslaw with 19.  The Tigers played without Vic Gessner due to an injury received last week against Hiland.  Strasburg's Reserves (17-1) also ended victoriously, winning their 17th in a row after an opening defeat, 57-40 over the Tuslaw Reserves.  The Reserve club now is 42-2 over the past 2 seasons.
