ZOARVILLE - Tuscarawas Valley (3-2) (6-6) had little trouble handling Baltic (0-5) (4-10) and evening its record here. Bob Heller's Trojans jumped off to a 17-8 first quarter lead and moved out to comfortable 32-14 and 47-26 margins at the quarter breaks. Heller cleared the bench in the 4th period and 9 of the 12 players broke into the scoring column. Juniors Gary Ferren and Paul Shipbaugh led the winners with 14 points. Senior Dale Stein led Baltic with 18. Dick Gerber followed with 11 for the losers. Tusky Valley connected on 27 of 63 shots from the field for 43 percent. Baltic managed only 16 of 62 for 26 percent. The Baltic Junior High team started the night off by whipping the Tuscarawas Valley Junior High team 30-24. The Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (1-9) won their 1st game of the season by edging the Baltic Reserves (3-10) 34-31.
