TUSCARAWAS - It was below freezing outside here Saturday night, but not inside as Tuscarawas (8-10) and Augusta "burned" the nets off the hoops. At the final buzzer, the Broncos held a sparkling 115-75 victory, bringing down the curtain on their regular season and setting a new school mark. The output by Coach Aaron Miller's crew surpassed the previous mark of 111 points scored in 1955 against Mineral City. Both teams shot over 60 percent from the field in the blistering performance, the broncos hitting 66 from action and Augusta 61. Fred Burmich paced Tusky's big atttack as he racked up 24 points. Russ McGlothlin dropped in 19, Phil Ashkettle 17 and Phil Caldwell 15. Bill Mayes led Augusta with 22. The Tuscarawas Reserves (8-7) went over the .500 mark with a 60-32 win over the Augusta Reserves.
