63 - Baltic Dispatches Garaway 63-54 (2-1-63)



BALTIC - The Baltic Engles of Coach Errol Jacobs (2-7) (8-10) led nerly all the way in posting the mild surprise over Garaway (3-4) (7-10).  Leading 19-15 at the 1st stop, the hosts held on to a 38-37 margin at intermission and  hiked the count to 50-43 going into the final frame.  The Eagles are on a 4-game winning streak.  Coach Joe Richards' club has dropped its last 4 contests.  Balanced power provided the victory for the Eagles,with Guy Limbacher, Keith Miller and Nick Baab helping out the high-scoring duo of Dick Gerber and Dale Stein.  Gerber led the way with 27 markers, Stein got 11, Limbacher 10, Baab 9 and Miller 6.  Don Deetz topped Garaway with 14.  Randy Miller  got 11 and Frank Miller 10.  Baltic hit on 25 of 55 action attempts for a hot 45 percent and made 13 of 19 free tosses.  Garaway connected on 22 of 57 field goal tries for a good 39 percent and drilled home 10 of 18 foul shots.  In the Junior High game, Baltic walked away with a 35-24 win over Garaway.  The Garaway Reserves (10-6) got the only win of the night for their fans in trouncing the Baltic Reserves (5-12) 45-22.
