63 - Gnadenhutten Lays Out Scio 64-49 (2-2-63)
SCIO - The Gnadenhutten Indians (6-13) grabbed an impressive triumph here Saturday night, leaving the Tribe with only one game on the regular schedule. The Indians of Coach Oren Thompson ran off to a 16-7 first period lead and never were threatened as they posted other quarter advantages of 34-23 and 57-39. Although playing without the services of top scorer Bruce Kohl, out due to an ankle injury, the Indians had plenty of punch with Junior Don Garrett pacing the attack with 18 points, amply support by Sophomore Terry Huebner with 17 and by Junior Larry Rentsch with 15. Gary Crall paced Scio (3-10) with 19. The Gnaden Reserves (8-10) won their game over the Scio Reserves 43-32.
