63 - Third Straight For Garaway As They Fall To Three Rivers 71-64 (1-26-63)



SUGARCREEK - Garaway's Pirates (7-9) went down to their 3rd straight defeat here last night, falling to Three Rivers.  Coach Joe Richards' club got off to a poor start and couldn't recover, trailing 13-4 at the 1st stop, 36-23 at the half and 57-42 after 3 quarters.  Dick Parkhill paced the winners, getting 25 points.  Bob Stewart got 14 and Ed McMillen 13.  Don Deetz took honors among the Pirates, racking  up 23.  Geof Stevanus added 14 to the cause.  Garaway shot 48 percent of its action shots.  Three Rivers made 45 percent.  The winners; however, got more tries.  The Pirates made 16 of 27 foul tries.  The visitors hit on 11 of 23.  The Garaway Reserves (9-6) put down the Three Rivers Reserves by a score of 37-33.
