63 - Hot Strasburg In 71-47 Victory At Port Washington (12-15-62)

PORT WASHINGTON - Strasburg's Tigers (1-0) (3-0) kept undefeated here last night, notching their third win  of  the year.  The Tigers enjoyed another good night of shooting, hitting  on 30 of 76 action shots for 40 percent and 11 of 15 free tosses for 73 percent.  The  Purple Riders (0-1) (3-3) managed 17 of 52 from  the floor for 33 percent and 13 of 21 from the charity stripe for 65 percent.  Strasburg got away slowly, crawling to a 16-11 1st quarter lead.  The visitors increased the tempe somewhat in the 2nd period to take a 31-19 margin at intermission.  They led 52-32 after 3 cantos.  Adrian Edie struck for 12 points in  the 3rd quarter as the Tigers pulled away.  He ended with 24 for game hornors.  Don Wallick had 15 and John Peters 13 for the Tigers.  Larry Laisure topped Port with 23 markers.  Strasburg Tigers (1-5) contributed to the sweep of the night by picking up their 1st win and rushing by Port Washington (1-5) 40-13.  In the Junior High game, it was Strasburg 44, Port Washington 28.
