65 - Stone Creek Defense Get #14 At Baltic 54-31 (2-2-65)

BALTIC - Stone Creek (14-3) used a tight defense to the best advantage here last night to turn back Baltic (2-12).  The tough Panthers also enjoyed a hot night in shooting, sinking 47 percent from the floor and 20 of 37 charities.  Baltic, on the other hand, couldn't solve Stone Creek's defensive tactics and sank just 21 percent from action and 8 of 18 fouls.  The Eagles canned just 3 of 23 floor flings during the 1st half.  Tim Baab paced the Charles Huggins-coached Panthers with 17 points, John Flinner chipping in 13.  No one hit double figures for the Eagles of Coach Rich Polzcynski.  Stone Creek led in rebounds, 33-19.  The Panthers will host Port Washington and the Eagles greet Tuscarawas Friday.  The Stone Creek Reserves (10-2) trashed the Baltic Reserves (3-8) 54-32.
