LEESVILLE - Conotton Valley's high-soaring Rockets (3-0) were high-scoring Rockets here Saturday night, thumping Garaway (2-1) to leave Tuscarawas County with only 3 undefeated teams.  In handing Garaway its initial defeat in 3 outings, Conotton Valley chalked up its 3rd consecutive triumph.  The Garaway setback leaves Tuscarawas County with only Midvale, Stone Creek and Dennison St. Mary's in the clean record bracket.  Garaway will be seeking to return to the win column Friday night when it entertains Tuscarawas in a County A League test.  The Pirates travel to Stone Creek Saturday.  Conotton Valley; meanwhile, hosts Scio Friday in a Harrison County League fray and will be at Cadiz Saturday.  Making good on 55 percent of its field attempts, Conotton Valley placed 4 of its 5 starters in double figure scoring category.  Greg Kurtz led the triumph with 21 points.  Teammates Neil Tope, Jim Sell and Jim Monigold added 15, 13 and 12 points, respectively.  Randy Miller topped the Pirates, who meshed 36 percent of its floor flings, with 15 points.  Dan  Andreas furnished 12 and Ron Raber 10.  Garaway led 18-16 at the end of the 1st period.  But, the Rockets, working for the good shot and controlling the boards, zoomed into a second-period lead they never relinquished.  Again, no mention of a Reserve game.
