65 - Adamsville Mugs Baltic 56-51 (11-21-64)
ADAMSVILLE - Baltic (0-1) made a galliant effort to snap its losing ways here Saturday night, but lost the steam late in the game and fell to Adamsville. The Eagles, 0-19 last season, were even with the host Wildcats on several occasions and were deadlocked 48-48 with 2:30 left in the game. The final margin was the biggest of the night. The count was tied 7-7 after the 1st frame. Adamsville held a 20-16 advantage at intermission and was on top 35-32 going into the hectic last stanza. Jeff Schlarb led the Eagles' bid with 17 points, followed by Tom Bellville and Keith Miller who had 13 and 12, respectively. Sherer had 15 to pace Adamsville. Clark got 14 and George 13. Baltic made 43 percent of its action shots, but Adamsville was hotter at 52 percent. The Eagles hit on 15 of 34 foul tries. The Wildcats canned 20 of 35 for the margin of victory. Miller led the Tuscarawas County quintet in rebounds, snaring 16. Schlarb pulled down 7. Admansville won the Reserve game, but no stats.
