TUSCARAWAS - The Tuscarawas High Broncos (4-5) will try to even their slate against winless Tuscarawas Valley here Friday. The Charles Etling-coached Broncos hiked their mark here Saturday, turning back stubborn Malvern. Tuscarawas led 32-25 at the half after the 1st frame ended tied 17-all. After 2 periods the Broncos held a slim 45-40 advantgage, but they turned on the heat in the last 8 minutes. Russ McClothlin and Rich Eckhardt both popped in 21 points to pace Tuscarawas. Jim Montella had 16 and Charles Hutchinson and John Savona 10 each for Malvern. The Broncos canned 23 of 56 floor flings. McGlothlin hauled in 14 rebounds. The Tuscarawas Reserves (2-3) edged the Malvern Reserves 43-41.
