Tuscarawas High School (Broncos) Senior - Rich Eckhardt (18-Points)
NEW PHILADELPHIA - Stone Creek (13-3) hiked its season basketball slate Saturday night via a decision over Tuscarawas (5-10) in New Philadelphia High's Gymnasium. The Panthers, under Coach Charlie Huggins, led the entire way, posting quarter margins of 19-12, 34-21 and 47-36. John Bihari, 6-3 Sophomore, paced the Panthers with 32 points. John Flinner contributed 14. Rich Eckhardt got 18, Russ McGlothlin 13 and Ken Rankin 10 for the Broncos of Coach Charles Etling. Stone Creek made 26 of 50 floor flings. Tuscarawas hit on 15 of 63. The Panthers host Port Washington Friday. The Broncos visit Tuscarawas Valley Tuesday. Their was no report of a Reserve game.
