STONE CREEK - Baltic's zone defense and accurate shooting from the field spelled trouble here last night for Stone Creek's Panthers (2-1) (6-1), but only for a short period.  Stone Creek led all the way and in a basketball rarity, held the invaders scoreless the entire 3rd period.  The Panthers posted quarter margins of 10-5, 20-16 and 27-16.  Jim Wherley and John Flinner set the scoring pace for the hosts, meshing 10 points apiece.  Keith Miller's 12 points wer tops for the Eagles.  In another unique occurrence of the game, Stone Creek was whistled for only 5 personal fouls, while official tagged the Eagles (0-3) (1-6) with 21.  The 2 teams fought a standoff on the backboards with Baltic pulling down 26 rebounds led by Jeff Regula's 9, and Stone Creek gaining 28, led by Vic Turner's 7.  Stone Creek hit only 25 percent of its field attempts and Baltic wasn't much better off with a 31 percent mark.  In the Reserve game, Stone Creek (5-0) rolled to an easy 48-35 victory over Baltic (1-4).
