65 - Garaway Runs Over Gnaden 72-55 (1-29-65)





Gnadenhutten High School (Indians) - Senior Gene Bates (13-Points)

SUGARCREEK - Five Pirates hit double figures in the win over Gnadenhutten (4-3) (6-10), Ron Raber leading the way with 16 points.  Dan Andreas contributed 15, Randy Miller 14, Jim Young 12 and Terry Gerber 10.  Four Indians climbed to this plateau, Gene Bates notching 13, John Parris 11 and Terry Huebner and Gary Rice 10 each.  Garaway (5-1) (9-4) fired in 26 of 72 action attempts for 35 percent and sank 20 of 29 charities.  Gnadenhutten went 18 of 66 for 27 percent and 19 of 30, respectively.  Andreas was top rebounder for the night, grabbing 14.  Garaway led the entire way.  The Pirates will visit Hiland tonight.  Gnadenhutten hosts Dennison February 2.  The Garaway Reserves (7-4) helped sweep the night by downing the Gnadenhutten Reserves (4-10) 36-29.
